 The guiding principle of Ayurveda (meaning 'life knowledge') is disease prevention by harmonizing the body's rhythm with Nature. One way to create balance and align the healing energies is through diet. Ayurveda knows that each person has a unique combination of the 5 elements of earth, water, fire, air and ether, and that each food has a specific property which can compliment or complicate that balance. When we eat a food that has a quality which does not compliment our constitution, we lose that delicate balance called homeostasis.

Reiki & Marma point therapy

   Reiki is a non-invasive technique of gentle touch that recharges the human energy field, also called Chi or Prana. Marmas points correspond to junctures where two or more types of tissues meet, such as muscles, veins, ligaments, bones or joints. Yet Marma points are much more than a casual connection of tissue and fluids; they are intersections of the vital life force and Prana. Marmas are where consciousness meets matter; where deep silence resides in the body. They bridge the gap between the physical and energetic bodies by carrying information between the mind and the organs & tissues.

  A Reiki session blended with Marma therapy assists in releasing physical and psychic blocks as it reduces pain and stress, while accelerating the process of healing.  Reiki revitalizes and rebalances your body, mind, emotions, and spirit, as it brings about an overall sense of well being and relaxation. When blended with Marma therapy, this healing modality has even more effect on the harmonics of the body.

Ayur*Yoga                     

   Many of our health issues stem from a lack of movement. Ayur*Yoga looks at your unique constitution and prescribes the yoga poses that will enhance and balance your dietary efforts, as well as the nuances of energy, bringing you a sense of overall well being. Depending on your Dosha,(Vata, Pitta, Kapha or a blend of these 3) your body may need soothing, calming poses or vigorous, energizing poses. A daily yoga practice helps you to reconnect with your own healing capacities, by bringing greater awareness to your state of being, and acknowledging when your rhythms are out of sync. Working with a qualified teacher can help you to recognize what elements need balancing and which poses best suit your current situation. Homeostasis is our birthright, and yoga, diet and awareness of imbalance can lead to a better sense of overall health.
